![]() ![]() ![]() the "Pointer speed" in my logitech options+ software needs to be set at about 45% to be just about 800dpi. I also use 800dpi and from rough measurement. I have a Logitech G Pro and an MX Master 3 from recently. I hope this helps anyone with their struggle. If you have time/desire to test different configs, happy to hear your feedback or actual DPI measurements. P.S One more thing that proves my theory is default "trackingSpeed":21 Logitech claims that default DPI is 1000. DPI formula is 200 + x*38, where X is the value you need to set "trackingSpeed". TL/DR: You can set tracking speed on MX Master 3 by changing "trackingSpeed" in the files above. You might need a relogin for this to take effect(or force backup/restore mouse config through Logi Options). So in my case to get 800 DPI I need to subtract 200 DPI (this is the DPI when "trackingSpeed":0), and set "trackingSpeed":16. So either we have 5200 max DPI instead of 4k, or (more likely) increments are happening in 38 DPI value. If we count how many 50s we can get between 4k and 200 we'll get 76(or 78 if you actually count first and last value). After testing myself I found that the minimum value is 0 maximum is 100. In their website statement, they say "200 to 4000 dpi (can be set in increments of 50 dpi)". Now we need to find what that number should be, and here is the thing I believe Logitech is dishonest about. Now you need to open a file and scroll to the end of the file, it will have a setting "trackingSpeed" : X (the number corresponding to the speed you set in the software). To be honest I changed sensitivity in both of them. One file I believe is the latest synced backup, the other is local settings. You can find settings as *.json file in ~/Library/Application Support/Logitech/Logitech Options My goal was to set 800 DPI, and here is how I was able to achieve it. As you all probably know already Logi Options doesn't give you any indication of the DPI selected. So I've got MX Master 3 and looking for their advertising I thought that I'd get a mouse where I could set DPI I need. ![]()
